How to clean urine from a mattress
Whether your pet peed on your mattress during Sunday morning snuggles, or your kids have a bed-wetting incident on their mattress, it’s important to act quickly when getting urine out of your mattress. Both pet and animal urine is made up of crystals of uric acid, so to permanently remove the acid, odour, and bacteria and properly clean urine from mattress fabric and bedding, it is best to use an enzyme-based cleaning solution.
The Ecosa has two removable covers, removing urine stains from your mattress easier than ever. The inner cover is waterproof, protecting your heavenly memory foam from all your pee-related dramas.
Get urine smells out of your mattress:
- The outer cover of your Ecosa mattress is machine washable, so simply whip off.
- Treat with an enzyme-based cleaner according to its instructions.
- Once treated, wash as normal in the machine. It’s the easiest way to get urine stains off your mattress.
Remove blood stains from your mattress
For women and teens, blood stains on your mattress can be an irritating reality. To remove blood stains from your mattress, simple home ingredients like water, saline solution, baking soda and salt can work wonders. The Ecosa removable mattress cover makes cleaning blood stains even easier. For more stubborn stains on your mattress, many attribute success to using a meat tenderiser to remove blood – yes, seriously.
To remove stubborn mattress stains:
- Make paste with the tenderiser powder.
- Spread on the stain, and let it sit for an hour.
- Rinse, and then wash your mattress cover as normal in the machine.
